What is the deal with people in America thinking that in order to be beautiful you have to wear a size 4 or less. Seriously. I am a size 20, and I think I am beautiful, but the rest of society sees me as being obese and ugly. So I'm here to say to those people, ENOUGH!!!!! I am so sick of being judged by the size pants I wear.
And I not the only one.
Recently, pictures of Jennifer Love Hewitt have emerged where she is wearing a bikni and they show her with "saddle-bags" and "cellulite" and the media (aka-celebrity gossip mags) are saying how fat she is, and how she needs to lose weight and all of kinds of things. Just for the record, she wears a size 2!!!!!
And America has had enough of this!
And so have I!
What about being a size 20 makes me ugly. What about weight 250 (that's right, I just admited my weight!) make me grotesc? What about me being happy with what I have makes me a bad person? NOTHING!!! Thats what!
I am a beautiful person, and so are all the other people in America who aren't "perfect"!
It seems that we have become a society who puts more importance on looks that the real issues out there. There are people dieing of Aids and cancer, yet the top news stories are about JLH's thighs? There are people out there fighting and dying for our country, but society cares more about which celebs are overweight.
I'm so sick of it! I want to live my life the way I want to live it. Do I want to lose weight, of course. I want to be healthy, and being 250 pounds, I'm not healthy, but that doesn't mean that I am ugly by any means!
So right now, I am starting a challange for all of America. I challenge you to stop buying these mags, to email the publishers and tell them that you are boycotting thier publications because you are tired of the way they are making beautiful woman in hollywood look, and you are tired of the way they are making beautiful women in America feel about themselves. You want to see stories aboutn the real issues in America.
The fact is, these publications want to sell issues, and if they see that people want something other than what they are offering, they will have to change to keep the sells up.
It's up to us!
